EDITORIAL STANDARD

Useful evidence before product rankings

ShambaPump publishes decision methods for Kenyan irrigation projects. We do not rank a pump from maximum-flow headlines, acreage alone or a commission rate.

Primary sources first

Technical definitions and methods are linked to original bodies such as FAO, Kenya Water Resources Authority, government energy guidance and manufacturer manuals.

Local decision boundaries

Guides separate site measurements, legal authorization, source yield, water quality, service access and landed cost instead of assuming all Kenyan farms are alike.

Commercial separation

Affiliate status does not change calculator outputs, evidence requirements, exclusions or article order. Unapproved programmes use no tracking code.

Visible uncertainty

Prices, availability, programme terms and regulations are time-sensitive. We date material reviews and flag information that needs local confirmation.

Review workflow

  1. Define one search and field decision per page.
  2. Collect primary sources and record the applicable date and geography.
  3. Separate measured inputs from illustrative assumptions.
  4. State exclusions, safety limits and when a qualified local practitioner is needed.
  5. Check title, description, H1, internal links, sources, disclosure and structured data.
  6. Recheck time-sensitive commercial and regulatory claims at least quarterly.

Corrections and conflicts

Material corrections are made source-first and propagated to affected pages. A supplier may provide evidence, but cannot purchase an editorial conclusion. Potential conflicts and commercial relationships are disclosed on the relevant page.
